With a long history in the Buckhead area, Tanyard Creek Park has been the location for Civil War battles and mills, to more recently, fetch with the famly dog. In April 2008, The Friends of Tanyard Creek Park, along with the support of many other local groups made the idea of the new BeltLine possible. The recently refurbished Tanyard Creek Park offers a walking trail that connects with Ardmore Park, under the CSX trestle along the creek bank along with a large greenspace for native wildlife as well as paved paths for joggers and pets.
